Cynthia earned her Master’s Degree at California State University, Sacramento. She, and her children reside in Sacramento where she has access to all areas that receive therapeutic services. She has been an animal lover since she can remember and loves to swim, after competing, teaching, and coaching in her younger years. She has a soft heart for animals and has been known to bring home an assortment over the years. Cynthia brings a broad spectrum of specialties to Now You're Talking. In her career, she has treated many patients who range in age from birth to elderly, who have Autism and/or other neurogenic delays/disorders, delays and disorders of language, and articulation, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, brain injury due to insult of CVA/TBI, stuttering, and management of swallowing disorders. Through her positions as an executive in private companies and in school districts, and her constant desire to learn, Cynthia has also gained a vast and intricate knowledge of both the law and treatment methods relative to Special Education. She has provided seminars relative to Speech Pathology in both educational and skilled-care settings . She has been invited to speak at national and state conventions in her field. Cynthia values her therapy staff and supports their desire to seek out continuing education opportunities and to stay informed with the newest evidence-based practices because gaining this knowledge leads to effective treatment and less time required to achieve mastery of goals. Lastly, anyone in business knows that the machine won't run without talented Administrative Assistants and Now You're Talking has the best!!! When a call comes in and a change of schedule is needed, or a parent calls for the first time to get information about our services, our office managers get to work and it is impressive!
